Our Team- Introducing our new Software Engineer

Roger Brooks tells us why he wanted to work for Auderli and what his biggest challenges to date have been.

An intro please Roger?

Hi I'm Roger Brooks and I have been a Software Engineer for over two decades. I started out writing COBOL programs for a mainframe, then windows desktop software and now cutting edge web applications using modern day architectures and methodologies.

What made you want to work for Auderli?

I have always preferred working for a small company over a large corporate entity. A small company is agile and can get software features into production rapidly, giving the maximum benefit to their users.

That is what I want, to get functionality to where it needs to be - in the hands of the users where it can make a positive difference. I believe technology should help people. Auderli is a product that I believe will do just that and I want to be a part of it.

What are you most proud of?

Getting to where I am today, both personally and professionally, despite the various setbacks and challenges I have had to face.

What has been your biggest challenge?

In software development things are constantly changing. New technology is being created all the time, at a truly shocking rate. Methodologies are being built, evolving and being abandoned. Keeping up with that, whilst at the same time doing your day job, is a massive challenge, but a good challenge to have to deal with. It is never boring and there is always something to learn.

What’s your favourite Auderli feature?

Sharing. Being able to add all your details into Auderli and then share that with your spouse is a great idea.

What’s in your Auderli?

My pension details and information on various investments.

How can Auderli help?

Being able to have a single view on all your investments is handy, but being able to securely share that information with people who matter is really useful.
